    @Karletto555
    Incorrect though. You forgot second mayday proclamation, along with number of people on board and type of help needed. Panpan medico is no longer used, instead single Panpan is used for it.

    Hi BGVAC31;
    she drowned. Her body was recovered several living shortly several miles from the site.

  3. BGVAC31 Says:

    did they always find her, did she carry on?

    That’s why you train, rehearse and practice.
    You have to gather to stop and take a breath in terrible situations.
    People leave coast expecting nothing to go incorrect. Dredge up: a pessimist is never disappointed. Always prepare (mantally, at least) for the worst..
    If my diving buddy was in thw water and in vex, I’d be in the water – make the mayday call quickly and get back in, or have a crack the rescue first.
    Too many people are not strong enough to do a rescue – so why are they diving?

    I just bought my first nautical portable vhf (IC-M34) since I’m a new yakfisher. This audio was so tragic! Effective in reinforcing the safety messages though.

    where do u get these calls

  10. DeepSixDave Says:

    Hard to be that dispassionate and apparent-headed as you’re a recreational VHF telephone logic user and a frightening industrial accident (a drowning) is compelling place.

    Also, in the US, since VHF’s are not licensed, there is less and less emphasis on the “right way” to use a telephone logic. Single hard and quick rule is no chatter on ch. 16.

    it should sounded be fond of this:
    mayday mayday mayday
    this is:
    location:
    situation:
    (or mayday relay as ur “transferring” a mayday thought
    or panpan medico for online medic)

    hi tom,
    yes, her boyfriend was the guy making the vhf call. They had both surfaced, but at that time she dove back down to retrieve a fin and got swept gone by the tidal current.

    was the boyfrind 9guy calling in the mayday) her diving buddy? if so i estimate he lost track of her and surfaced.

  14. DeepSixDave Says:

    Hi Jokern,
    fatality. The childish woman drowned. Her body was recovered six or so miles from the industrial accident site.
