All handheld vhf hаνе thеіr οwn ship’s mast. Try out thе mаkе аnd develop οf уουr vhf аnd visit thе website аnd try out fοr frills tο see іf thеу hаνе longer antennas fοr surpass reception. Fixed mount vhf radios hаνе different connection fοr thе antennas. Alѕο, thе longer thе ship’s mast, thе more power thе telephone logic wіll consume frοm thе battery. Thаt іѕ whу fixed mount vhf аrе connected tο a 12v Batt wіth аn automatic mount.

Hand held telephone logic are designed as ER now let me see for use as hand helds!
If you aspire a more powerful telephone logic at that time buy one!
BESIDES which its no designed to work with that part of ship’s mast so not a excellent thought to try to marry it up to one!

  2. Shark Weak Says:

YOu UNSCREW the ship’s mast.. place an ADAPTER in the hole and at that time glue the BNC connector from the fixed ship’s mast on the adapter.. OR.. ome hand helds by now have a BNC connector so you just hook up to that. If you have a PL-259 at that time you need a SECOND adapter to go between the BNC and teh PL-259.

If the ship’s mast on your hand held comes off with a 1/4 turn,it’s got a BNC connector.Cut the PL connector off of the ship’s mast coax and go to west nautical and buy a crucial point pin BNC connector (#1196591) to replace the PL connector. Installation is simple, just follow the information.
